What is an LNG ISO tank?
The LNG tanks are made of stainless steel. Plus, they have multi-layered vacuum-insulated pressure tanks supported by double-walled transport tanks.
Hence, they can hold LNG at temperatures of -162 °C (-260 °F). The maximum pressure level of an LNG ISO tank container is 0.690 MPa.
LNG ISO tanks consist of two containers — an inner tank filled with LNG and an outer one filled with insulation materials.
Full containment tanks are the most frequently used, and their size varies based on purpose and size requirements.
Transporting LNG through ISO tanks offers an innovative and cost-effective alternative to conventional natural gas distribution methods.
What is LNG?
Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is natural gas that has been cooled to a liquid state (liquefied) at about -260° Fahrenheit for shipping and storage.
The volume of natural gas in its liquid state is about 600 times smaller than its gaseous state in a natural gas pipeline.

What are the different types of storage tanks for LNG?
There are three primary storage containment types for LNG storage systems: single, double, and full containment.
Single containment systems consist of an inner and outer container designed to store liquid.
While the inner container holds liquid tightly while its counterpart holds product vapor pressure.
The 20M3 Cryogenic ISO Tank temporarily stores cryogenic liquefied gases under pressure. Inner vessels are made of austenitic stainless steel and cold stretched for selected medium / high-pressure models.
These tanks are available vertically or horizontally and can be used for LIN, LOX, LAR, LNG, CO2, and N2O.
