What is a cryogenic trailer?
Cryogenic trailers are specially-built vehicles that transport cryogenic materials like liquid gases and solids at extremely low temperatures and pressures (typically Design temperature: -196, +50 ºC), necessitating specially designed containers to remain safe during transit.
It is typically constructed from durable materials like aluminium or steel to withstand the high pressures and low temperatures of transporting liquefied gases.
Inner vessels are made of austenitic stainless steel and cold stretched for selected medium / high-pressure models.
Furthermore, they feature unique insulation systems to maintain an ideal environment for your goods during transport to ensure they don’t heat up too quickly or evaporate during transit.
Construction and Features:
Double-Walled Design: Cryogenic semi-trailers have a double-walled structure to ensure insulation and prevent heat transfer.
Stainless Steel Construction: They are typically made from stainless steel to withstand low temperatures and corrosive effects.
High-Pressure Capability: These trailers can handle high operating pressures (usually 3, 7, or 18 bar) to accommodate the specific cryogenic liquid being transported.
