Medical Oxygen Regulator with Humidifier Bottle
A medical oxygen regulator is essential for controlling the PSI (pounds per square inch) or flow of compressed medical oxygen from a tank to a medical device such as a flow meter, hose, or humidifier.
It reduces the high pressure of oxygen in the cylinder to a safe and usable level for medical applications, most commonly used in Oxygen Therapy.

Types of Oxygen Regulators
Medical oxygen regulators come in various types, each suited to different applications:
- Standard Regulators:
- Description: These regulators have a preset PSI setting of 50 PSI, maintaining a constant and consistent oxygen output.
- Application: Commonly used where a fixed delivery pressure is sufficient.
- Adjustable Regulators:
- Description: Allow users to adjust the PSI output within a range, usually 0-100 PSI or 0-50 PSI. Equipped with two gauges to measure tank oxygen level and PSI output.
- Application: Suitable when precise control over delivery pressure is required.
- Flow Control Regulators:
- Description: Designed to control the oxygen flow rate (LPM). They have two gauges for tank oxygen level and LPM reading, with a preset PSI output of 50 PSI.
- Application: Ideal for applications requiring specific flow rates.
- Regulator & Flowmeter Combos:
- Description: Combines the functionality of flow control regulators with an attached flowmeter instead of an LPM gauge, providing more precise control.
- Application: Preferred in many medical settings for its accuracy in monitoring and controlling LPM.
