ISO11439 CNG-1 Standard Compressed Gas Cylinder

Compressed Natural Gas Cylinder

CNG cylinders are a type of gas cylinder used to store compressed natural gas at high pressure.
CNG, also known as compressed natural gas (CNG), is a fuel that is mostly composed of methane(CH4).

CNG Compressed Gas Cylinder

Compressed gas cylinders are used regularly in science and engineering buildings, machine shops, and retail and campus dining.
Researchers, staff, and outside contractors store and use various compressed gases for different reasons.

DSW produces a wide range of compressed gas cylinders for industrial, with a working pressure of 20-25MPA (2,900-3,600psi), in a dimensional field with OD ranging from 168.3 to 273 millimetres and capacity from 14 to 90 litres.
All cylinders are manufactured and certified to DOT/TC standards, legally transported, and filled by your local gas filler.

Features

Environmental Benefits: CNG has many environmentally friendly properties, such as odorless, colorless, and smokeless. It doesn’t produce any toxicity when burned. This means that it doesn’t contaminate the surrounding environment.
Cost-Efficiency: CNG is often more cost-effective than conventional fuels, offering potential savings for both businesses and individual consumers.
Diverse Applications: From automotive to industrial and medical uses, CNG’s versatility makes it a suitable option for a wide range of applications.
Sustainable Practices: Choosing CNG aligns with global efforts to adopt more sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.

Is CNG compressed gas?

Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a fuel gas mainly composed of methane (CH4), compressed to less than 1% of its volume at standard atmospheric pressure.
It is stored and distributed in rigid containers at a pressure of 20–25 megapascals (2,900–3,600 psi), usually in cylindrical or spherical shapes.

Compressed natural gas (CNG) is a methane gas mixture compressed to a high pressure. Natural gas is typically compressed to 200 or 250 bar for vehicle use.
At standard temperature and pressure, natural gas has a density of around 0.7 kg/m³ to 0.9 kg/m³, depending on the composition.
This increases to around 180 kg/m³ (at 200 bar) and about 215 kg/m³ (at 250 bar) for a typical methane-rich gas composition.

CNG is stored in high-pressure cylinders that are of different types and construction. Most common cylinders consist of steel. Other cylinders can be made out of lightweight materials like aluminum or composites.
